About this piece
"SAHUMADOR" (incense burner) is one of the oldest ceremonial clay pots in pre-Hispanic cultures.
This ceremonial instrument has a particular shape, on the front, it has a pot and also a handle which makes handling this utensil much easier to use.
"SAHUMAR" means "perfume with smoke"
In pre-Hispanic cultures, the "incense burner" has different shapes and motifs representing people, moments, animals, and unknown beings.
In this class, we are going to learn how to make a clay incense burner but we will also include a clay flute as a handle in this way when we play the sweet melodies of the flute the smoke that comes out of the incense burner will dance to the beat of the music cleaning the place and also our spirit.
This wonderful workshop will take place at the magical @tem.ple.tree this Saturday 18th March 2023.
The workshop starts at 10 am and ends at 5 pm.
The cost of the workshop is 1,500th including all the materials to be used and the firing of the finished piece.
