“SAHUMADOR” (incense burner) is one of the oldest ceremonial clay pots in pre-Hispanic cultures.
This ceremonial instrument has a particular shape, on the front, it has a pot and also a handle which makes handling this utensil much easier to use.
“SAHUMAR” means “perfume with smoke”
In pre-Hispanic cultures, the “incense burner” has different shapes and motifs representing people, moments, animals, and unknown beings.
In pre-Columbian cultures, the eagle was a sacred symbol of strength, power, courage, wisdom, and spiritual connection to the divine. It represented a link to the heavens, carrying prayers to the gods and symbolizing the highest point of vision
